The hammer crusher mainly relies on the impact force applied by high-speed rotating hammers to crush materials. The materials undergo multiple impacts, collisions, grinding, and shearing actions in the crushing chamber, and the final particle size of the discharged material is controlled by the sieve plate.
Core working principle
The hammer crusher works based on a high-speed impact crushing mechanism. When the motor drives the rotor to spin fast, the hammers attached to the rotor swing around at a speed of 30–100 m/s. As the material enters the crushing chamber through the feed opening, it gets smashed immediately by the high-speed hammers. The crushed material then gains kinetic energy, flies at high speed toward the machine's internal baffles or plates, and gets hit by the hammers again during the bounce. Meanwhile, the material pieces also collide with each other, breaking down into smaller particles.
